Here I am with the second part of WSRB logs. This will show another log, but really not that different from the one from yesterday. The main difference is links are provided to some of the PSA’s listed so you can hear them. You will have to download them to hear them since I have to pay extra to have them directly in the blog.
WSRB log 1-22-83
For this log I was the only one who worked that day. The files for your listening pleasure are some of my favorite PSA’s only one of which was played on this particular log.
This is the first of two posts with logs. I just thought someone might find it interesting what our high school radio station logs looked like. Yes we had a radio station in high school, it is no longer operational. This post contains one set of logs, Part 2 will contain a log plus a few links to some of the jingles and PSA’s (public service announcements) that were played. (I just realized yesterday I posted the raw image files and they were larger than the majority of people have their monitors set at if you wish to see the full image – fixed that in this post).
WRSB log Page 1 12-31-82
Here is the first page of the log for 12-31-82 which as you can see had 3 on-air personalities. Interestingly this is after 2 of us (Chris and myself) had already graduated high school. I remember doing a few shifts after I graduated but don’t recall how we got permission. I also do not recall the circumstances that led to me having the original copy of the log. The station is supposed to keep them. You’ll see in the gallery below (or click on “more” link) for the other pages and what they consist of is explained prior to it.
I thought I’d start finally getting going on scanning in all my old papers into the computer. The paper has held up pretty well overall. Perhaps someone is interested, perhaps not. It therefore becomes an archive of sorts for my children. There is no planning so might jump around to different things and this initial post is mainly a test framework. I’m not a packrat (unlike my mom) but I do try to keep a select part of my past. I go through some of it each year to remove things that no longer need be kept. These scans will allow me to part with more short that time come.
This is not my 1st first grade report card, but one I have. Most of my elementary stuff is buried in my parents attic, and who knows what condition it is in or if I’ll ever see them again.
